Hazel Hurdles

Hazel hurdles (woven fence panels) enhance any garden and are made using coppiced Hazel rods from an ancient woodland on the South Downs. I make traditional Hampshire pattern hurdles using simple hand tools. The standard width of a hurdle is six feet (1.85 metres) and the height can be made to suit your project. I can also make continuous woven fencing in situ to any length desired. It is best to order hurdles between October and April as the wood is more durable when cut at this time because the sap is down. However I can make hurdles all year round and they can be treated with preservative to improve durability.

Hurdle prices are as follows-

6 ft wide by 2 ft high £30

6 ft wide by 3 ft high £40

6 ft wide by 4 ft high £50

6 ft wide by 5 ft high £65

6 ft wide by 6 ft high £80

For other custom size panels and continuous woven fencing please enquire. I offer an installation service and can provide Chestnut stakes for installing hurdles. Delivery prices will vary.
